What is LED?

LED Lighting are lights which use light emitting diodes (LED's) which are extremely energy efficient and long lasting. LED lights create less heat than traditional lights, which means they last for longer and it means your air conditioner doesn't have to work as hard. LED lights are a relatively new technology and can help you save up to 90% on your lighting cost.

Lighting consumption:

LED lighting uses only about 10% of the electricity of traditional lighting. LED’s have been in our homes for decades, mostly being used as indicator lights in house hold appliances etc. With recent advance in technology LED’s are now being produced in super bright format and are now matching or exceeding the light output of standard inefficient globes.

Advance technology:

Testament to the advancement and reliability in LED technology is most notable, for the average person, in its use in safety items such as traffic lights and brake and indicator lights in vehicles. There are LED replacements for most types of standard lighting including: incandescent bulbs, downlights, spot lights and industrial, domestic flood lighting.

Lighting contributes about 30% to the average Australian households energy bills. Most lighting today is inefficient and is costing you unnecessary money and emitting vast amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. LED lighting is an energy efficient alternative to traditional lighting.
In Australia lighting represents about 12% of carbon emissions from househoulds and about 25% from businesses. LED lights are a great energy efficient alternative and they can save you money and help reduce your impact on the environment.

Forward thinking:

LED lighting products and systems benefit from the forward thinking LED properties such as:
+ Low energy consumption
+ Low wattage
+ Extremely long life (can be up to 50 tmes longer than incandescent)
+ Smallest dimensions (design flexibility)
+ Very low early failure rate (highest reliability, lowest maintenance)
+ No ultra-violet or infrared radiation
+ High shock resistance
+ Directional light
+ High colour efficiency

With a world of new creative design options, LED lighting products are very attractive to lighting specifiers, architects, property developers and consumers.
