The green approach:

The LED ELR 50’s consume 72% less energy than dichroic halogen MR16 technology. The LED ELR 50’s are designed to last for 50,000 or more hours which mean there is less waste and harmful particles to be processed and land wasted.

The safety:

The running temperature of a dichroic halogen MR16 lamp is over 200 degrees Celsius, creating a far higher incidence for starting a fire, and is extremely dangerous to be touched, even accidentally.
With that in mind, stringent regulations are in place when installing dichroic halogen MR16. This contributes to an increases by the added man hours and necessary materials and procedures to prevent fire.

The LED ELR 50 operates at a cool 60 degrees Celsius compared to dichroic halogen MR16 lamp - a very marked difference in temperature, safety, and the dispersion of heat.

No UV radiation or harmful elements:
Diachronic halogen MR16 lamp emits Ultra Violet (UV) light that needs to be filtered out, especially where UV light will deteriorate the surface quality of a well loved item.
